This morning CD came running down the stairs and stated she needed to use the toilet! Can you believe it? She pooped then, and I found her in the bathroom later doing the same thing. Twice in the same day--without prompting? And going to the bathroom completely by herself--without needing anyone else there? Who is this 4 year old and where did my CD go? Hopefully we continue this kind of progress through our trip.
While CD is making progress in the bathroom, I am not making strides in the weight loss arena. This week, I gained 2 pounds, after having lost weight every week for the past 2 months. A little frustrating, but I know that I did not stick to the program and ate more than I should have--my stomach told me that, but I decided to override--the jalapeno poppers were sooooo good. At least I know that it was my failure and not the program.
I'm giving myself the week of the trip off. There's no way that I want to be worried about points and such. I'm hoping that the extra exercise (any exercise actually) will help. I know that there will be lots of walking going on. I am going to try to make some health-conscious decisions though.
I found Omega sitting up in his crib this morning. A definite new skill that I'm sure he'll be practicing at my mom's. He looked so proud of himself.
